New Bajaj CNG bike spy shots confirm design details

The fact that Bajaj is developing a CNG motorcycle is no secret, especially since managing director Rajiv Bajaj announced its arrival on June 18. With just a month to go, Bajaj’s CNG motorcycle has been spied testing once again, and as we have clearer images, here’s everything we know so far.

  1. Bajaj Bruzer to come with block-patterned tyres
  2. Spotted with LED headlight and tail-lamp

Bajaj Bruzer design, launch details

The Bajaj CNG bike will likely be called the Bruzer as Bajaj has filed a trademark for the same, and sources have also hinted to us at it being called that.

The Bruzer seems to follow a retro design sporting a round headlamp, a flat seat and a small tank that will hold petrol. Leaked blueprints suggest that the CNG will be held in a tank under the rider’s seat, and be protected by a tubular steel cradle frame.

Bajaj has picked a sloper engine design due to its layout and the additional space it liberates. The bikes have been seen sporting parts like a tall fly-screen and hand grips, but it’s yet to be seen if these will be available as standard, divided into different variants, or be available as accessories.

The Bruzer can also be seen with a twin five-spoke alloy wheel design, which is wrapped in a pair of block-patterned tyres. The Bruzer is also seen equipped with a disc at the front and a drum at the rear. Equipped with a telescopic fork and mono-shock setup, the Bruzer seems fairly well equipped with hardware to take on rugged roads found in rural areas.

While the indicators appear to be halogen, the headlight and tail-lamp seem to be LED units. We all know Bajaj is a master at pricing and has earned quite a reputation for its cut-throat pricing of the Pulsar NS400Z and the Triumph Speed 400. We suspect the Bruzer will follow suit and utilise its vast product line and parts bin to bring down the overall cost. However, it is yet to be seen where the Bruzer will sit in regards to their existing 125cc line-up. All will be answered on June 18 when Bajaj will launch this motorcycle.
