Hero Centennial edition bike up for auction; limited to 100 units

Hero has announced that its Centennial Edition motorcycle will now be available for purchase. It was first revealed to the public in January at the Hero World event, where the company also launched the Xtreme 125R and revealed the Mavrick 440.

  1. Gets carbon-fibre bodywork, half fairing like original Karizma
  2. Only employees, business partners, stakeholders can put bids
  3. Deliveries slated to begin in September 2024

Hero Centennial Edition details

The Centennial Edition is a special one built to commemorate the 101st birth anniversary of the company’s founder Dr. Brijmohan Lall Munjal. Hero has announced that the bike will be auctioned exclusively to its ‘employees, associates, business partners and stakeholders’. The company says that proceeds from the auction will be used for ‘the greater good of society’. Deliveries are slated to commence in September.

To recap, the Centennial Edition is based on the Karizma XMR platform and features carbon fiber bodywork, a solo seat, milled components such as the swingarm, fully adjustable suspension and a carbon fibre exhaust muffler from Akrapovic. Due to these modifications, the bike has a 158kg kerb weight, 5.5kg lighter than the Karizma XMR. Since its debut in January, a few changes have been made: the master cylinder appears more basic, and the bike now uses MRF rubber instead of Pirelli tires, like the Karizma XMR.
