How much does the Bajaj Freedom 125 cost?

The Freedom 125 starts at Rs 95,000 for the base (Drum) variant, Rs 1.05 lakh (Drum LED) for the mid-spec variant and Rs 1.10 lakh for the top-spec (Disc LED) variant. Bookings have opened for the Freedom 125 at Bajaj dealerships across the country and on the company’s official website.

Can the Freedom 125 start in CNG mode?

Yes, the Freedom 125 can start entirely in CNG mode. The engine keeps cycling to petrol routinely every so often to maintain proper functioning of its components.

What is the top speed of the Freedom 125?

Bajaj claims the Freedom 125 has a top speed of 90.4kph while running on CNG and if you switch to petrol it can go slightly higher, to 93.4kph.

How do I re-certify the CNG tank in the Freedom 125?

Bajaj says its dealers will help the customers in this re-certification process. The CNG tank will need to be re-certified every 2 years as opposed to most cars which have a 3 year timespan between re-certification.

What engine does it get; fuel efficiency of the Freedom 125?

The Freedom 125 is powered by an all-new air-cooled, 125cc single-cylinder ‘sloper’ engine. This bi-fuel capable engine produces 9.5hp at 8,000rpm and 9.7Nm at 6,000rpm. Bajaj claims an estimated range of 330km; 102km per kg when running on CNG and 65kpl when using petrol. We will be testing the Freedom 125 soon, so keep an eye out for our review.

Does the Bajaj Freedom have a difference in performance between CNG and Petrol?

Our testing data shows there is a minor difference in performance between both fuels. In our tests from 0-80kph, the Freedom 125 was about 2.5 seconds faster when run on petrol. When run on CNG the Freedom 125 managed to achieve a 0-80kph speed in 18.04 seconds and did it 15.44 seconds when fueled by petrol. However, in-gear accelerations were a lot close with both fuels being only milliseconds apart.

What is the warranty period and service duration for the Bajaj Freedom?

The warranty period for the Bajaj Freedom 125 is for 5 years and 75,000km. Bajaj also states that the Freedom 125 has a service interval of 5000km.

Is Bluetooth available as standard for all three variants?

Bluetooth connectivity is only available on the top-end Disc LED variant, while the standard and mid-spec variants get a smaller LCD display and different switchgear which lacks the call button.
