The long-awaited Ampere Nexus will be launched in India on April 30. The Nexus is going to be the flagship model in the Ampere lineup and will pack in many firsts for the company.

Ampere Nexus India launch details
The Ampere Nexus will have four riding modes and an LFP (Lithium Ferrous Phosphate) battery. It will also be the first Ampere e-scooter to have a front disc brake. On a previous sighting, the intended premiumness of the Nexus was seen through elements such as footpegs that sit flush with the bodywork, and LED lighting all-around.

A large digital display was also seen on the Nexus at the same sighting, although it remains to be seen whether it is a TFT or LCD unit. At the Auto Expo last year, Ampere claimed that the NXG concept – which has evolved into the Nexus – which would have a claimed range of 120km on a single charge, although what the exact capacity is and whether that’s the certified number or a real-world claim remains unclear. The Nexus will likely use a LFP (Lithium Ferrous Phosphate) battery because Ampere claims on its website that it will have the ‘safest battery’. LFP is a chemistry that offers safer thermal characteristics, but lower energy density than its more widespread NMC counterpart.
The Ampere Primus is priced at Rs 1,46,355 (ex-showroom, Delhi) and it is safe to say that the Nexus will be priced above that mark, although it remains to be seen where exactly it will be positioned in the market.
